Kesan pencegahan vaksin terutamanya diukur oleh tahap meneutralkan antibodi dan kadar perlindungan. Dalam imunisasi awal, meneutralkan antibodi muncul 7 hingga 10 hari selepas vaksinasi, dan tahap perlindungan dapat dicapai selepas 5 suntikan imunisasi.
